The Black Elder Studio works with founders, creative teams and growing organizations to document their work, communicate its value and prepare for new opportunities.
Through photography, video, publications and creative production, we make your work easier to understand and put to use.

Preparing for
what’s next.
What are you trying to make happen,
and what do you need help carrying?

We document the people, processes, events and productions behind your work through photography and video.
Create a library of photos and footage you can return to for your website, social media, press, proposals, pitches, campaigns and future projects.
We turn your ideas, information and existing materials into partnership presentations, sponsorship packages, investor decks, business publications, portfolios, media kits and case studies.
From organizing the information to producing the finished publication, we help you present what you've built, communicate its value and prepare for important conversations.

Progress Snapshot
Progress Snapshot is a free interactive tool that helps you clarify what you're building, the progress you've made, the support you're looking for and what you want to make happen next.
Complete five guided notes and turn your responses into a one-page publication you can save, share and use in meetings, pitches, applications and conversations.
As your organization grows, so does the work involved in documenting projects, preparing presentations and producing materials for new opportunities.
The Black Elder Studio provides creative production support to help plan, coordinate and complete this work, giving your team additional capacity when you need it.
Bring a real project, opportunity or decision.
Creative Care offers one-on-one conversations to talk through what you're trying to accomplish, what might be getting in the way and what options are available to you.
Leave with a clearer understanding of your situation and a practical next move.

Event Recap Video
A cinematic recap capturing the atmosphere, people and unfolding experience of A Murder at the Table.

Great work, incredible aesthetics and turn around time couldn't be any better! Highly recommend.
There was no disruption, no sense of people being pulled out of the moment. Just a quiet, intentional presence moving through the space, allowing everyone to stay grounded and fully immersed.
Absolutely loved the recap video! The energy of our event was captured perfectly and delivered fast. Super professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
Her process was incredibly detail-oriented, and what really stood out was her ability to use code to create a custom HTML pitch experience rather than just a standard presentation deck. She incorporated photos, videos, and a polished visual flow that made the final product feel much more premium and interactive.

Every project starts with a conversation about what you're trying to accomplish.
You might be preparing for an important opportunity, documenting work already underway or looking for someone to take creative production off your plate.
We take the time to understand your goals, the work you've already done, the materials you have to work with and what still needs to be created.
From there, we agree on a realistic scope, organize the work and take responsibility for delivering it.
Help people understand what you've built, what you're doing and why it matters.
Produce the documentation, publications and presentations you need to put your work in front of the right people.
Work with a Studio that can take responsibility for important creative production, so everything doesn't have to sit with you or your team.
Not every project needs another deliverable right away. Sometimes you need space to understand what's happening so you can make sense of your options and decide what to do next.
Creative Care offers one-on-one conversations to talk through what you're trying to accomplish, what might be getting in the way and what options are available to you.
Leave with a clearer understanding of your situation and a practical next move.

Creative Longevity brings people together through facilitated Labs to work through real projects, opportunities and decisions.
Participants bring real situations from their creative lives, learn from one another and consider what they're willing to do next.
Explore Creative Longevity →The Black Elder Studio was founded by Elisabeth Clarke, a multidisciplinary creative practitioner working across photography, video production, digital design and facilitation.
Her background in community work and creative production shapes how she approaches the people and projects she works with.
Elisabeth looks beyond the finished product to understand how people work, what they're trying to accomplish and what it takes to bring their ideas into reality.
She brings that perspective into the Studio, making creative decisions with an understanding of both the people involved and what the work needs to accomplish.
